Bowen Hills Acupuncture and Remedial Therapies Modalities

At our acupuncture clinic in Brisbane, we blend in Chinese medicine acupuncture with remedial massage therapy. With a special focus on trigger point release in musculoskeletal conditions, we integrate the use of electrostimulation (electroacupuncture), massage gun therapy, cupping and guasha.

Cupping is an ancient technique of using cups to apply suction to the tissues. This is a great way to stretch out the fascia, increase the local circulation and loosen tight muscles.

At Bowen Hills Acupuncture and Remedial Therapies, we apply acupuncture according to the principles of traditional Chinese medicine and modern anatomical theory. Ken is a registered acupuncturist and has also trained in motor point acupuncture and trigger point dry needling.

Ken has a Cert IV in Anmo Tuina traditional Chinese remedial massage and has over 10 years experience using manual therapy to relieve tension and pain. To achieve the best outcomes in our remedial therapies, we integrate the use of modern devices such as massage guns.

Moxibustion is a method of creating localized warmth over the tissues, traditionally through burning the herb mugwort. At our clinic, we use smokeless moxibustion.
